Headed up to clear lake to break in my new Triton 20trx with a 250 ProXS. After a little over 2 hours of break in, I had to get a line wet. Decided to head to the Nice area and fish some docks. With foggy conditions the air temp was in the 30s. Water temp was 53.6 and didn’t raise very much throughout the day. I Only pulled out 3 rods. A Dobyns champion 804CB with 50lb Vicious braid and LV500 tied on in ghost minnow. A Dobyns savvy 705 and 12lb vicious pro fluorocarbon with a Keitech 3.8 tied on the end in Tennessee shad And finally a 7’11” KVD glass cranking stick with 14lb vicious pro fluorocarbon and a D&M chopper in green pumpkin. After catching a bunch of small 12″ fish on the LV500, fishing docks, I headed to swimbait corner by konocti vista. Alternating between the 3 baits I ended up landing 14 fish up to 7lbs with a decent limit of about 23lbs in only 4 hours. The bigger fish were eating the slow moving chopper more then the LV500 that I was yo-yoing. They wanted it on the bottom. I was fishing from 1′ to 10′ of water. The bite would have been better but the air temperature went below freezing the night before. Until the next trip.
