Steelhead angling is still open in the Coquille Basin until April 30. A fresh run of steelhead moved into the South Fork Coquille River before the most recent rains. Currently the South Fork Coquille is high and muddy. In the Coquille Basin one additional hatchery steelhead may be retained per day for a total aggregate of three adult fish harvested daily.

Crabbing has been slow in the Coquille due to the amount of freshwater in the bay from the recent rain. It is still recommended you discard the crab viscera (guts/butter) before cooking.

Kids now need fishing license at age 12
