Gary Senft, Bass Pro at the Mesa Bass Pro Shops, said fishing was excellent a week, but had been poor during his previous couple trips. Senft was following point out, casting Texas and dropshot-rigged, purple or red Roboworms in 20-30 feet of water of the main lake. Small, shad-colored crankbaits also caught largemouth bass around 11 a.m with overcast skies.

Colder ambient and water temperatures are causing a transitional pattern for bass, crappie and other species. The water temperature will be in the mid to high 60s on most days.

Lake elevation is 1,759 feet, feet, 51 % full.
