Day 1 results are posted for the Wild West Bass Trail tournament being held at Lake Shasta and a name familiar to many long time readers of MyOutdoorBuddy.com is right in the thick of things. Jason Haley who had provided Southern Oregon information and articles for many years, sits currently in fourth place of the pro standing with a strong first day bag of 14.52 pounds.  Ahead of him sits Ryan Friend in first at 18.55 pounds, followd by Sage Baker at 15.55 pounds with the big fish of the day at 6.86 pounds. Roy Hawk is also just ahead of Jason at 14.84 pounds while Nick Salvucci rounds out the top 5 with 13.55 pounds.

This strong tournament field features over 130 boats with pros and co-anglers plying Shasta Lake. For anyone interested in seeing this afternoon's weigh-in from Bridge Bay Marina at 3:00 pm come on down  as they say, or visit the Wild West Bass Trail website where a live stream of the weigh-in can be found.

And from those of us at MyOutdoorBuddy.com, good luck Jason! We hope you finish today in the top 10 and qualify to fish in Sunday's final.

The Wild West Bass Trail has one of the strongest schedules of Bass Tournaments around and offers the top anglers and teams in the Western United States a venue to visit some of the top bass waters in the west and compete for top cash and prizes.
