Fishing at Castaic has slowed down a bit this last two weeks.The water level at Castaic is at 90% capacity.All the new water has affected the fishing but when everything settles it should pick up. Guys are still catching a few good size stripers on icejigs and spoons in 50 to 75ft. deep.A few swimbait stripers were caught this last week after the trout plant.We will be receiving a trout plant next week. The largemouth and smallmouth fishing has been tough.Your best chance for bass is spoons,icejigs and and small plastics in 20 to 50 ft.Catfish bite has been slow.

Fishing at Castaic is fair right now. Guys are still catching good size stripers in the morning with spoons and ice jigs in 40 to 60 ft., swim baits are working for bigger stripers. The largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing has been picking up. Most bass are being caught on spoons, ice jigs and small plastics in 20 to 40ft.The catfish bite has been slow.
