On Saturday, March 18, 2017, 120 fisherman attended the third of four 2017 San Bernardino County Regional Park Trout Derbies for Kids at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario, CA. A total of 27 trout were caught and registered, with the top trout weighing in at 3 lbs. 2 oz. It was caught by Donovan Orozco from Ontario, CA using a mixture of garlic and corn Power Bait. Twenty-Four additional prizes were given out for trout weighing 2.8 lbs. to 5 oz. Victor Hernandez from Fontana, CA won the prize for the smallest trout.
Mojave Narrows Regional Park will host the last 2017 Trout Derby for Kids on Saturday, April 15th, 2017. Over $1,000 prizes will be given away for the top 25 trout caught. $4 per entry. Kids 7-15 ONLY!!! For more information call 909-387-2461.
