Just got in from a half-day trip with excellent fishing and awesome people. We fished out in deeper water and caught limits of rockfish. The anchovy and squid strips absolutely work the best. A few people tried jigs and instantly went to bait. 

Our 22 anglers caught 170 Rockfish and 50 red Rockfish, One excellent half day trip.
