Heading in from our 3/4 day trip today with a full boat of anglers. We had a decent weather report in the morning and decided to shoot for the islands. However on the way across the weather did pick up enough for us to turn and head for our coastal grounds.

With that said we did get to our fishing grounds later then normal but the weather was much better inside. We got into some decent fishing today right off the bat. We caught mostly mixed rockfish with some reds and coopers mixed in as well. We also got into some ocean whitefish at times along with a few Lingcod.

The highlight of our trip was when we got into a boil of very large bonito and hooked into a few that fought like crazy. It was a blast for our anglers and in the end we did stay late to make up some of the most fishing time in the morning.

For our 25 passengers we ended up with 182 rockfish, 37 ocean whitefish 8 bonito and 9 Lingcod. The Coral Sea is Booked up tomorrow but is running 3/4 days Tuesday-Thursday, book your reservations now for upcoming trips through our website or call the Santa Barbara Sealanding at 805-963-3564.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (805) 963-3564 to get in on the action
