GENERAL CONDITIONS
BOAT LAUNCH FACILITY WILL BE CLOSED FOR REHABILITATION

The boat launch facility will be closed for rehabilitation beginning September 25, 2017, and shall reopen in spring 2018. Improvements will include improvements to the boat launch, paving and striping of the parking area, new vaults toilets, new and relocated fish cleaning station, and new drinking fountains. All other areas of Contra Loma Regional Park shall not be impacted by this construction. This project is made possible through generous grants from the Bureau of Reclamation and the California Department of Boating and Waterways.

TRAILERED BOATS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LAUNCH.
CARTOP BOAT WILL NEED TO BE CARRIED TO THE WATER FROM ANOTHER PARKING AREA.

Fishing has been slow.

TROUT
Trout fishing has been slow.  Try the north-west side of the lake using mice tails, Powerbait or nightcrawlers.

CATFISH
Try fishing for Catfish at the Channel Point or Loma Island with anchovies, nightcrawlers or chicken livers.  Boaters have been doing good toward the middle of the reservoir or along the dam.

BASS
Black Bass have been biting with artificial baits/lures or nightcrawlers anywhere around the lake or from boats.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Park Hours:
For January is 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; all water craft must be off the lake by 3:30 p.m.
For February is 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; all water craft must be off the lake by 4:00 p.m.
Reminder to boaters:  All watercrafts (including float tubes) need to have a wearable Coast Guard approved personal floatation device (PFD) per person.  Children age 12 and under must wear personal floatation device (PFD) while the vessel is underway.
