The Largemouth and Smallmouth bite is improving with Nightcrawlers and Senko's working well for many anglers. Fishermen are having luck around Sharon's Rest, Firebreak, and Utopia coves. 5 to 25 feet of water is where most bites have been occuring. The Striper bite is doing well with anglers having luck on Kastmasters and lug worms. If using kastmasters, the dam will be your best bet for a bite. Try to get to the lake as soon as it opens and work the morning bite. This has been when most anglers have been having the most luck. If using lug worms, fish between SS Ski and Kong Island at a depth of 40-80 feet. Many anglers have been having luck with this method any time of day. Smallmouth have been biting off of the dam on smaller lures like rapalas. The lake was not stocked with trout this past week.
