They are back

Unfortunately, we are having a tough time finding any rhythm to the fishing. The rainbow runners were back today and were eating every sardine fished. This resulted in very slow tuna fishing. We did a little wahoo searching and were rewarded with a few that were over 50lbs. Personal bests went to John Natsume with a 50+lb wahoo.

Also, John Avery (who put in a ton of rail time) got a deserving personal best tuna. We did not get our sundowner bite that we had the previous several nights.

The side story is that today was Big D’s 60th birthday. To celebrate, Jonathon snuck up behind Dharyl and smashed two whipped cream pies into Dharyl’s face as everyone was watching , truly funny (I had nothing to do with it, thankfully). Corey & Mark made his favorite dessert and the entire galley sang to him. Happy Birthday Big D! If anyone knows Big “D”, then you know that it comes back to you.

We still have hopes for a good morning bite before we leave the fishing grounds. Wish us luck! We need it!

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
