The lakes bluegill population has woken up, as many anglers were scoring some of the big bulls this past week. Nightcrawlers drop shotted, or under a slip bobber was the key to success. Rocky areas of the Toll road arm, and Barona arm produced the best numbers. The bass bite has been very good, with fish in all stages of the spawn being caught, all over the lake. Senkos, flukes, jigs, rip baits all worked well. Silversides are once main all over the bank, creating some top water opportunities as well. Catfish have been spotted visually by a few anglers, although no catches were reported to the concession this past week.
