American shad showing up in good numbers off Boyd’s Pump and the Thermolito Forebay, all of the way into the Yuma River. Some striped bass making an appearance, as well, for live drifters.

Field scouts continue to report that limits of striped bass are still being caught on both the Sacramento and the San Joaquin rivers. Both bait dunkers and trollers are having success with fish averaging 5 to 8 pounds, up to 12 pounds along with an occasional larger fish.
