The overall action seemed to slow slightly this past week with the AM bite producing less fish than the previous few weeks. Anglers still came back reporting action, but lots of the fish caught were on average of 2 lbs and under. Hot spots such as dry gulch, elizabeth canyon, and utopia coves may have schooly sized bass, but anglers were still catching a good amount of them. The Striper bite is still doing well by the buoy line, necktie canyon, and the west walls. Anchovies, Sardines, or Mackeral are still the baits of choice to catch multiple stripers. Fish these areas throughout the day at a depth of 60 feet and under for the best results. The Bluegill bite has been good for a select few anglers this past week but has seemed to elude the majority of anglers trying for the species. Best bet is mealworms/waxworms by trout point/pete's point at about 20 feet.
