Many large Carp of decent size were caught on the upper lake this past week. Anglers reported catching the species on nightcrawlers and gulp bait. Hot spots for the Carp include Elizabeth Canyon, Necktie Canyon, and Hawks Nest. The Striper bite was hit or miss most of the week. Anglers who had the best luck tended to be using FRESH Sardines, which can be picked up in Marina Del Rey. Hot spots for the Striped Bass include the west walls, the buoy line, and Necktie Canyon. The ideal depth is between 60 and 100 feet down. The Largemouth bite was good in the backs of Cutler Cove, Henrickson Cove, and Dry Gulch. The Largemouth have been biting around 10 to 20 feet down on Roboworms and Nightcrawlers. The Crappie bite was great for a few anglers on Crapie Jigs down the Fish Arm at a depth of 30 feet.

The Striper bite is still doing well by the buoy line, necktie...... Read More

Get to the lake by 6:00 am and fish these areas all morning for the best luck. The Striped bass bite improved a little from the previous week as well, with bait working for more anglers. Most areas in the ski arm such as kong island, necktie,...... Read More
