Pan fish, especially bluegill, are hitting big time this last week off of worms in the coves. Catfish are doing well in the grassy areas. Most Red Ear, I have heard are being caught this last weekend, some up to 2 pounds plus off of worms as well. Crappie has been slow and bass is still active on various baits in different areas of the lake.

Fishing is doing well with all species. A 6 pound largemouth was caught with worms, off the back of parked pontoon at the Marina. Bluegill are still doing well near the store in shallow water off of worms. Catfish are up to 18 pounds hit on Mackeral at Vaca Flat off shore. Fishing has been steady here at the lake. Pan fish, Crappie and Bluegill are biting on worms in shallow water. Nice size Red ear are being caught by the Marina on ngiht crawlers. Bass are still biting, but mainly small ones reported. Hugh Catfish caught at VacaFlat couple of weeks ago. Not much else to report. ...... Read More
