The weather's beautiful and the fish are biting! Bite is strong for the Rainbow Trout. As the temperature cools down the fish are coming closer to the surface. They are about 30 feet down and are being caught on a Carolina rig or trolling rapalas. The crappie bite is constant lately at the lake. The crappie are about 10-15 feet below the surface and they are being caught on small jigs or trolling. Crappie is a phenomenal white meat. The bass are biting stronger than ever. With the cool mornings, the top water action is amazing fun for the active fisherman. Catfish were also being caught in good numbers this week. 3 & 4 pounders were being caught near the dam and the coves around the marina. Mackerel has been a popular choice, Bluegill & Redear come up on small baits on a floater. Also they are usually caught while jigging for crappie. We are at about 32% capacity here at the lake with about 65 ft. of water at Bradbury Dam. Still plenty of water for great fishing!! As the water level goes down the fish come up! Come visit our bait shop for any tackle and bait you may need.

Crappie were slow this week but can still be seen hiding out around the reeds. Atomic Tubes work great as well as Crappie Jigs. Our best catching this week...... Read More
