GENERAL CONDITIONS

Reservoir has been lowered for Phase 2 of the Contra Loma Boat Launch Facility Improvement. Trailer boats are unable to launch. Other boats will need to be carried to the water and launched from the shore.

Reminder to boaters: All watercrafts (including float tubes) need to have a wearable Coast Guard approved personal floatation device (PFD) per person. Children age 12 and under must wear personal floatation device (PFD) while the vessel is underway.

Catfish have been biting and fishing from a boat has proven to be successful.

Bluegill and other sunfish have been biting on lures and worms. They are being caught all around the lake!

TROUT

Trout fishing has been slow for the summer. We would suggest that tiger tail lures in pink or yellow would be the best lures to try! Try using Powerbait or nightcrawlers as well.

CATFISH

Try fishing for catfish at Channel Point or Loma Island with anchovies, nightcrawlers or chicken livers. Boaters have been doing well toward the middle of the reservoir or along the dam.

BASS

Black Bass have been biting with artificial baits/lures or nightcrawlers anywhere around the lake or from boats. Both boat anglers and shore-casters are having luck, so keep moving if you are not catching!
