The past two weeks has been a little slower than it has been lately. With that being said, there are still anglers coming back with limits and reports of a wide-open bite on live bait. Anyone able to net some shad are having good days with big numbers to report back. The bass are still boiling good in the morning and later in the evening, with fish being caught on many different shad imitation baits and soft plastics. You can also still get some bass on the old trusty drop shot or senko. The bait bite for stripers remains steady with a few fish per person being the norm, and it seems they have been biting lug/blood worms better lately. The bluegill and crappie bite still are pretty decent with good numbers coming back for the fellow angler who gives it a go. Not many catfish have been caught lately but you can still snag one using chicken liver, anchovies, or mackerel.

On some random days they have been picking up mid-morning though. The bass bite remains steady with good numbers and some big weights lately. There has been an abundance of shad in most parts of the lake, and that has contributed to some...... Read More
