Fishing has been decent for some and tough for others this past week. If you are looking for shad, they have mostly moved out from the shallows into deeper waters. With that being said, some anglers are still reporting a few straggling bait balls hanging around some shorelines. The bass are starting to group up in packs and have been biting on a variety of plastic worms and finesse techniques. First thing in the morning and later in the evening you can get them going with some reaction baits, mainly subsurface right now. The good old nightcrawler has been producing some bass as well. The striper bite has picked up for those willing to bait and wait. Sardines, anchovies, and worms have all been the baits of choice. The Bluegill and crappie bite have remained steady, with fish being caught on waxworms and a variety of panfish jigs. Anyone using mackerel and chicken liver are still having some luck with a kitty here and there, but overall the bite has slowed down as well.

The Bass are starting to school up and are being seen moving in wolf packs. A range of artificial baits and plastics are producing the best, but you can still find...... Read More
