A variety of fish have been biting both from shore and around the lake over the past week despite the cooler weather.  Anglers have been catching stripers and catfish from shore, most on chicken liver, sardines and anchovies.  Hot spots have been mainly along the canal by the entrance booth, and also off the end of the rip rap in front of the boat shop.  Bass have been biting along the shorelines and throughout the coves, down deep on the plastic baits and nightcrawlers.  Trout have also been caught in the marina and first cove of the lake on power baits and worms as well.
