Shasta Lake continues to produce a few good fish daily, but the brown bite has been pretty slow.  A lot of that has to do with our never ending summer and the fact that its not spring yet.  If we get some winter weather we'll see the brown trout fishing pick up.  If not, it could be February before we start seeing more browns come to the net.  Shasta is still pretty warm for this time of the year in most areas, but that should help get these browns going sooner than later.  The rainbows typically head to sub 50 degree water this time of the year and a lot of the big adults will be in the rivers preparing to spawn.  That reduces the inventory of available rainbows, but we're still seeing some good looking rainbows when we work for them.
