With the weather starting to warm up, fishing around the lake for all species has been picking up. Stripers have been biting very well and consistently on various baits form the rip rap in front of the boat shop, along the shoreline and points past the swim beach and also from the canal up front by the entrance booth. Many anglers have been having great luck with lug worms, night-crawlers and frozen baits both from the shore and throughout the lake. Bass have been biting very well along the shorelines, most bites are coming off plastic set up and jugs but crank-baits and jerk-baits have still produced some bites in the first few hours in the morning.
