On the last day of the abbreviated extension of the red snapper season, the weather finally permitted deep sea trips to take place. The New Buccaneer with Capt. Sam Hardeman ran the public 12 hour deep sea trip and returned with a limit of 148 red snapper and two bonnethead sharks. Capt. Matt Smith operated the Cavalier on a private charter 12 hour trip. They also returned with a limit of nice red snapper.
