Lake Morena has received the final stock of 1,000lbs of Rainbow Trout on March 10th!

Bass and catfish are being cuaght throughout the lake!

With the rise in our lake's water level, there may be hidden obstructions near the shoreline. Please boat with caution.

The lower boat launch is OPEN. All vessels must pass a Quagga mussel inspection prior to launch

Best Spots
Catfish- Geezer Cove, Bass Cove
Trout- Horseshoe cove, Paradise Cove, Pumphouse Cove
Bass- Paraside Cove, Geezer Cove, North shoreline
Panfish/ Carp- Horseshoe Cove, Geezer Cove (Panfish) + Geezer Cove(Carp)

Best Lures/Baits
Catfish- Mackerel, Bonito, Nightcrawlers, chicken liver
Trout- Powerbait, nightcrawlers, mini jigs, kastmasters Bass
Bass- Swimbaits, plastics, crank baits, jigs
Panfish/Carp- Mealworms & nightcrawlers (panfish) + dough balls, corn (Carp)

Catch Highlights
Catfish- Catfish caught mostly on mackerel and chicken liver around rock outcroppings across from docks.
Trout- Trout season has ended. Trout has been stocked for the season as of March 10th 2023.
Bass- Bass bite has started to pick up as the lake temperature has now reached 68 degrees.
Panfish/Carp- Crappie and Bluegill bite has started to pick around the island before the Dam.
