Open year-round. Flows are high at 47.4 cfs.‌

Catch rates are fair but redband trout are recolonizing the Bootleg Fire burned area. Fish density is increasing very slowly due to the Bootleg Fire but redband trout have been the first to recolonize the areas near the 3411 Rd bridge crossing.‌

Fishing for brook trout is good above Sandhill Crossing and excellent at Lee Thomas Campground area. A huge brook trout for this area is 10 inches. ‌

Large brown trout are moving up the river to spawn and can be caught near the lower 3411 road crossing
