Action: Returns fishing seasons to those listed in the 2023/24 Washington Sport Fishing Rules pamphlet.

Effective date: Nov. 16, 2023.

Species affected: All species.

Locations:

Stillaguamish River from the mouth including all sloughs downstream of Marine Drive (south of Stanwood) and upstream to the forks:

Stillaguamish River North Fork from the mouth to North Fork Falls:

Stillaguamish River South Fork from the mouth upstream (including upstream of Granite Falls):

Reason for action: Stillaguamish River Chinook salmon spawning activities are completed for the season and protective measures are no longer necessary. This action will open planned gamefish seasons in the system.

Additional information: Reminder that fishing for salmon remains closed throughout the Stillaguamish River. Anglers should continue to check emergency regulations for new and changing seasons or sign up for email notifications on any rule change at https://wdfw.wa.gov/about/lists. In addition, anglers are reminded to refer to the 2023/2024 Washington Sport Fishing Rules Pamphlet for other rules and regulations.
