AWESOME 16 DAY TRIP!!!! EXCEL went on a 16 day trip with 22 anglers to Hurricane Bank. This trip was sponsored by Braid Products. It was choppy weather. They had 11 Yellowfin Tuna over 200 lbs. They brought in 111 Yellowfin, 68 Wahoo, & 5 Dorado. The jackpot was given to Michael Stiny of Goleta, Ca with a 292.0 lb Yellowfin. 2nd place went to Jan Howard of Mission Viejo with 258.0 lb Yellowfin. The 3rd place went to Dan Filger of Thousand Oaks, Ca with 255.9 lb Yellowfin. Honorable mention to Patrik Gallager who took 176.3 lb Yellowfin with a 40 lb test line. OFFSHORE ACTION REPORT!!! EXCEL went on a 10 day trip with 29 anglers. They went offshore to the Rocks and the Ridge. They landed 342 Yellowfin Tuna, 174 Dorado, 40 Wahoo, 48 Yellowtail,7 Marlin(released), & 1 Black Seabass(released). Jackpot went to Dan Colonello of Valencia with 96 lb Yellowfin. 2nd spot was taken by Pete Price of Woodinville, Wa with 91.1 lb Yellowfin. 10 DAY OFFSHORE REPORT!!! EXCEL went to the Ridge with flat calm weather. 33 anglers caught 331 Yellowfin Tuna, 131 Yellowtail, 26 Wahoo, 6 Grouper, & 1 Pargo. Jackpot claimed by Ken Yamamoto of Monterey Park with 131.2 lb Yellowfin. 2nd place went to Jim Beard of Huntington Beach with 75.4 lb Yellowfin.
