Pyramid Lake held at 86 percent of capacity, and fishing has been decent. Water conditions remained dirty with temperatures in the lower to mid-fifties. Large and smallmouth went after six inch straight tailed plastic worms in brown and green pumpkin. Texas rigs, drop shot, and shaky heads all worked for bites in 5 to 25 feet of water. Steep rock walls were a good place to toss baits. Crawdad colored crankbaits took some decent bass along the rip-rap. Striped bass anglers used cut baits and live worms for decent results near the marina. A recent trout plant gave anglers another shot at limit style fishing, and anglers fooled rainbows while throwing dough baits, minijigs, and spoons in the marina. Many of the trout have migrated throughout the lake and just about any cove could hold some monster sized trout. Catfish anglers soaked chicken liver, cut sardines, and dip bait for good results.
