Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, NV

Yep, it's me again. Fishing has been a bit slow lately, so here I am with a couple of nice-sized panfish, or sunfish as some call them. I released them after taking the picture. We have a healthy population of these fish along the Colorado River, especially in the still water areas. On Lake Mohave, these panfish aren't as large as those in the Havasu area. Around our stretch of the river, Laughlin Bay Marina offers great fishing for this type of fish; usually, nightcrawlers work well. I caught mine using a ned rig with tubz. The striper bite has been slow, but I've heard reports of smaller ones starting to come in. This suggests that anchovies should work well. A reminder to have a good knot and your drag set, as there are still some larger fish out there. The trout stocking from Willow Beach Hatchery has ended, but we might receive some trout from our local abatement department here in Bullhead City. These trout are sourced from a hatchery in Colorado and are usually on the smaller side but great for pan size. Largemouth bass are nesting or close to it, and carp are stirring up the water and jumping as they're in spawn mode. Besides being your weigh station, we offer slips and do prop repairs. If you're having any luck out there, we look forward to seeing you in with your catch and your story. Mostly, thanks for all your support. Now, go catch a fish!
