The wife was out of town, so I gave myself a kitchen pass and jumped on the STARDUST for a day of rockfishing. I arrived at SEA LANDING and checked in, as I boarded I was greeted by Deckhand Sal. Capt Luke and the rest of the crew arrived shortly and the anxious anglers soon started showing up. By the time everyone had checked in, we had 34 anglers ready to go. Capt Luke gave the safety briefing and the plans for the day, we were headed to Santa Rosa for some quality rockfishing. The weather was perfect and there was absolutely no winds for the 2 1/2 hour run. The fishing was kinda tough as there was not much current or breeze, but the fish we were getting to bite were some quality reds, chuckles and some really nice grade ling cod. Jackpot went to Kevin Battle, Rugby coach at UCSB with a 14 1/2 lb ling cod. For a great day of fishing in Santa Barbara, give the landing a call at 805-963-3564.
