Final reminder of Free Fishing Day

This is a final reminder that this Saturday, June 9, is Free Fishing Day in both Nevada and California.
You will be able to fish, without a fishing license, anywhere you desire in either state or even in both states on that day.
Fishing will be free but you will need to abide by all of the regular rules and regulations that govern whatever water you will be fishing.
To insure that your free fishing day will be a memorable experience, the California Department of Fish and Game, various California Counties and the Nevada Division of Wildlife have planted many thousands of rainbow trout in their waters.
For Nevada fishing information, call the Nevada Department of Wildlife at 688-1500.
For California fishing information, call the California Fish and Game Region No. 2 Office at (916) 358-2900. ?Į

The Fall has begun to improve as pressure is now spread out a little more, with best fishing in the vicinity of the hatchery and below the falls for smaller trout. Caddis and occasional BWO hatches have been the only surface draw here. Small nymphs and big streamers have been best....... Read More
