Hi Everyone,
Here is our weekly schedule for Newport Landing Sportfishing from Thursday June 21 through Wednesday July 4. ????I thought I would cover a larger block of time with the 4th of July holiday.?? For this weekend June 23(Saturday) & June 24 (Sunday) we will only have open party twilight trips departing at 7pm aboard the Nautilus.
Overnight and Longer Trips Available:
The Amigo has open party overnight trips for:
Fishing June 26 (Tuesday) leaving June 25 (Monday) night at 10 pm.?? Limited to 16 anglers at $175.?? Captain Mike Thompson will be running this trip.?? Targeting white sea bass along with yellowtail.?? It has been good fishing.?? Definitely worth playing hooky if you can.
Fishing June 29 (Friday) leaving June 28 (Thursday) night at 10 pm.?? Limited to 16 anglers at $175.?? Capt Mike T will be running this trip also.
Fishing July 2 (Monday) leaving July 1(Sunday) night at 10 pm.?? Limited to 16 anglers at $175.?? Capt Mike T will be running this trip as well.
The Amigo will also have its' annual 2 day open party 4th of July trip.?? This trip is limited to just 15 anglers at $350.?? Capt Mike Thompson will be running this trip.?? This should be a great trip for either island species or offshore or both.?? This trip departs Monday night July 2 at 10 pm to fish Tuesday July 3 and Wednesday July 4 returning around 7pm that night.?? This should be a great trip!
The Aggressor has open party overnight trips for:
Fishing June 25 (Monday) leaving June 24 (Sunday) night at 10pm. Limited to 20 anglers at $140.
Fishing June 27 (Wednesday) leaving June 26 (Tuesday) night at 10pm. Limited to 20 anglers at $140.
Fishing July 2 (Monday) leaving July 1 (Sunday) night at 10 pm.?? Limited to 20 anglers at $140.
The Ultra has an open party overnight trip for June 29.?? Departs at 9pm June 28.?? Limited to 8 anglers at $240.????
Limited Load Day or Extended ?? Day (departs at 6am and returns at 6pm) Trips Available:
Unfortunately we do not have any limited load extended ?? day trips for this weekend (June 23 & June 24).?? It is getting to that time of year where availability on weekends will be very limited for ?? day or longer trips.?? Weekdays are a great way to go for getting on a ?? day or longer trip, if taking off work is not a problem.?? As a rule Tuesdays and Wednesdays are our slowest days.
The Patriot does have a limited load extended ?? day trip for Saturday June 30.?? Limited to 40 anglers at $80.??
The Patriot will also have a morning ?? open party trip for Sunday July 1.
The Patriot will be running open party ?? day during the weekdays with the Nautilus running ?? day trips (morning, afternoon, and evening).
The three quarter day trips are seeing yellowtail and even catching some are there last few trips.?? Things look good for them to start biting on the ?? day scene.?? Both and Catalina and coastal. Overnight fishing is the most consistent action for larger game fish.?? Pretty good fishing on many of the trips recently.

Hi Everyone, Outstanding yellowtail fishing for both the Amigo and Ultra today with 40+ yellowtail from 20-30+pounds for the Amigo on a 1 ?? private charter fishing today (still more than half the trip left to fish).?? The Ultra has 50+ yellowtail (large fish) for 8 anglers on an overnight private charter fishing today (Friday June 15).?? Both of these reports were called in at noon today.??
