The trout bite at Corona Lake is getting better and better with each passing week, Corona Lake has already finished two big pre-stockings of trout and will continue to stock every Thursday gearing up for their big Super Trout grand opener on Nov. 22. Heaviest trout of the week weighed in at 6 pounds 8 ounces caught by Ismael Landerous, pictured above of Mira Loma using a night-crawler down by he dam.

Ismael also caught some crappie & catfish with his 5 fish limit totaling 14 pounds 8 ounces. Nathan & Owen Delacruz of Lake Elsinore caught 12 trout totaling 22 pounds also using night-crawlers from shore. Frank Allen of San Diego caught 5 trout totaling 10 pounds 5 ounces, with his largest a lightning trout at 5 pounds using garlic PowerBait at the Dam. Dan Saenz of Riverside caught a 6 1/2 pound Sierra Bow trout using a jig by the boat dock.

Chad Homan, Photo #1 of Escondido caught a huge 3 pound crappie using a trout king jig from a float tube. Corona Lake is open seven-days-a-week and during trout season, 24 hour fishing will be on full moon weekends only.
