The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours being 06:30AM to 06:00PM and boats being off the water by 05:00PM The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks and drinks available. The Cafe is also oopen 6 days of the week from 09:00AM - 03:00PM so visitors can get some hot food. February 25th Mt. Lassen Planted 1,500 pounds of Trout. 10% were trophy sized trout. The water temp. has been around 56 degrees and the water elevation risen to 294ft. With recent rains the water is expected to become murky again. Trout are being caught from the shoreline near the Main Recreation Area the Pines. Boaters have been having the best luck at the Rock Wall, Farrells Landing, Sandy Point, and Scow Canyon. Power-Bait for the Trout such as Chartreuse, Rainbow and Garlic have been working as wells as the Mice Tails. Night Crawlers have been doing really well the past week. The water is muddy from the rains so using strong scented bait is best. The Broken-Back Fire-Tiger Rapala, Mepps, and Kastmasters are being used to catch trout on the troll.
