The Madison River is fishing very well between the lakes. Limit yourself to a couple fish then move on downstream or on to the Henrys Fork. While a still a nymphing proposition we will begin to see bwo's later this week so be ready with for dry fly fishing. Nymphs would include rubber legs, Krystal Dips and Shop Vacs and Tim's Soft Hackle Stones. On the river near Varney Bridge look for strong bwo emergences on overcast days, 1-4p.m. The Mothers' Day Caddis hatch is on in the BearTrap area and upstream to the dam at Ennis Lake. #14-16 Olive X Caddis will be all you need for this activity. But, when rainy and overcast make sure you have BWO's like Sparkle Duns and BRF Foam Emergers #18-20.
