The Lower river has fished somewhat tough earlier this week. The water flows have remained stable and the water temps are on the rise so this should help turn things around. The rising temps are going to signal the Rainbows to get going with their spawning. Watch out where you are walking so not to tread through a redd. The rising water temps will get the crawfish moving around for fish to spot. The Rainbows are going to get nippy protecting their clutch of eggs

Fishing Conditions The cold snap has put the fish in a bit of a shock, but with daytime temps in the mid thirties to 40s mid week, they will be on the feed again. Small brown stones, red worms, and caddis larvae have been good bugs for the past couple weeks. Large dark buggers or other streamer patterns fished deep and slow have also picked up some good fish.
