Steelhead Capital of the World Location: Klamath River - Lower by Mario Gomez
The famous Klamath River is probably the most overlooked steelhead fishing destination in the Pacific Northwest. It's home to one of the largest populations of steelhead i have found in any river I have fished and believe me folks I get around.
The Klamath is fishing like you wouldn't believe. The recent rains have got the fish moving around and wanting to feed. We have been seeing bigger than normal fish this year and the amount of fish has got me really exited about the 2018 winter steelhead season on the K.
The fish are biting everything I have been throwing at them from yarn to plugs and everything in between. The Steelhead have been traveling and feeding so the riffles have been a great spot to angle for them. I have also been finding fish in the flats and the tailouts. Don't let miss representation detour you from the klamath we have big fish and I know where to find them.
Here are my available dates let me know if you want to get in on the action. 1/19, 1/28, 3/2, 3/3, 3/4, 3/25, 3/30, and 3/31.
