Trout worth a try at Donner

Donner Lake - Truckee, CA

by Nor Cal Fish Reports
10-8-2015

Lake is at 53% capacity. For those with boats 21 ft or larger be cautious of the "hitch" at the end of the boat launch now. Throw everything you have at the trout now, ie: powerbait, nightcrawlers, and salmon eggs and combinations of these baits, spoons and spinners of different varieties. By casting closer and then working your way out a little further one can detect what depth the trout are cruising and having patience is key to success now. (530) 587-4844
