A good start to the annual Hansen Structures three day logging some significant successes a short, seven hour run from home. Big bluefin were again the quarry and we had our share of action on both those and their 50 - 60 pound cousins. All night time fishing it was a crash course in how to move and track lines and fish in the dark but these anglers were more than up to the task demonstrating their angling acumen. In the end we gathered an admirable score by midnight including a bonus swordfish caught while fishing for bluefin on the rod and reel. Not an every day event high accolades are extended to veteran angler Kimo De Castro who made short work of the 162 pound “King” featured in today’s photo.
