Truckee River

Brown Trout

Looking good on top.
Guessing we got over 4 feet in most upper elevation spots this last week.  Maybe some more snow around the 10th, but for now, cold this week until the weekend.  Cold duster coming in mid-week, not much snow, probably just enough to mess up the driveway.
Cold here in the Hirsch, not much snow, maybe a few inches hanging around.  We get shadowed mainly, sometimes storms will push over and hit us and Reno, but the bulk hits the summit.  We stay really cold mostly.
I’m not looking at fishing until later this week when it warms up.  Going to hit the 40’s again in Truckee and warmer down on the the East side off the Truckee River through Nevada.
Look for water moving at a slow walking pace.
Flows are still pretty good.  Good wintertime flows.  Really good flows down in Nevada through the Nature Conservancy.
Generally we have good winter fishing on the Truckee River.  Hell, sometimes we do better this time of year than in the summer months.
