The Fishing has Been Good
Red Lake - Hope Valley, CA (Alpine County)
by Doug Busey
The lake has about 20 inches of ice under a few feet of snow. The fishing has been good for the average 10 to 14 inch cutthroat trout. Small Kastmasters or Thomas Bouyant spoons are my favorite jig to use. But a half a night crawler works very well right off the bottom. Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question or a report in our local fishing area, call the Naw line at 775-267-9722. If you have a photo of your catch, send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
