Trout are still being caught a month after the last plant, but they are winding down, and are mostly being found in deeper water.

The bass bite is strong with the fish in various stages of the spawn. Jose Hernandez of Escondido caught a 9.10# bass on a plastic worm off Senior Shoreline. Largemouth Bass can be found around structure and respond well to crawdads, crank baits, and dark colored plastics.

The first catfish plant of the season is scheduled for Friday May 10th. Scott Keophantirath landed a 15.50# catfish in Oakvale Cove using shrimp. Catfish can be found throughout the lake and bite well on cut mackerel or chicken liver, as well as dough-bait.
