A morning of school hopping for plenty of show and little go prompted our first move to the south by mid day. Finding the fish was no challenge. Getting one of the massive schools to stick with us and bite was another story. In the position of having to stay or get off the pot we shelved the idea of Bluefin until the back end of the trip. Sliding down looking we plan to target yellowtail along the coast in a few different zones tomorrow and beyond. Once again the sheer amount of fish available is stunning. Throw those yellowfin in the mix and one can easily determine that the fleet is on a path to some incredible offshore fishing in the weeks and months to come.

Keep it in mind anglers as we push into July. We have a couple of very light three and four day voyages that look to offer some real “ultra limited” load opportunities to anglers waiting on the fence to book. Saturday July 13th - Wednesday July 17th, and Wednesday July 17th - Saturday July 20th are the perfect trips to take advantage of the incredible offshore opportunities at this 60 - 100 pound bluefin tuna that most assuredly will be available in droves during that time frame. The four day Tiburon perfectly coincides with the coveted full moon phase that is so well known for producing real deal fishing for bluefin offshore. Give Tracy or Brian a call in the office if you have any questions about any of the upcoming Royal Star voyages offering availability. Remember also that all Royal Star prices are ALL INCLUSIVE - no additional fees for permits, visas, taxes, etc. are charged when anglers arrive for their voyages.

Photo today features ecstatic Royal Star angler Victor Chin with his beautiful bluefin on full display coming over the rail.
