Bass Fishing is Starting to Pickup Again

Upper Otay Reservoir - Rancho Del Rey, CA (San Diego County)

by Upper Otay Reservoir Staff

Bass fishing is starting to pickup after a post spawn slow down. Lots of bait fish, so you may want to start and finishing you day using top water and crank baits early and late in the day. Fishing just outside the tullies seems to be the most productive. If you want to catch some pan fish now is the time. La Vally England from Spring Vally has caught some nice stings of bluegill with many of them weighing around a pound and a half.
