Jeff Kopischke pulled in his limit of catfish on the night of July 13th. The lake was stocked both last Friday and this Friday so there are a lot of cats out there waiting to be caught. The bite started off a little slow, but it really picked up this weekend. We saw limits from anglers on boats and people on shore were also catching fish.

The best bait is still Mackerel, but people also have success with chicken livers, shrimp and salmon. For boaters the best spot is still tying up to the Log Boom. People fishing from the shore have been having the most success in Boulder Bay and at Jump Off Point.

Night Fishing started July 5th and will continue Friday and Saturday nights through August 31st. During night fishing the shore will be open until 11:30 PM and boats can stay out until 11:00 PM. During night fishing half day boats start at 4:00 PM.

When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Remember concessions closes at 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday nights, so come early enough to buy your permit or rent a boat.
