The water temperature is still about 70 degrees.

Blue Gill: High Action: Blue Gill have been very active near Ramp 2 with most success coming to anglers using mealworms without weight. Small cast masters have also been productive.

Catfish: Medium Action; A decent bite has been going on at the inlet for boaters using anchovies and liver.. If you are shore fishing try Ramp 2 using the same type of bait. A few have been reported by anglers using worms as well.

Striper: Medium Action: Things seem to have cooled down for striper fishing.. still a few each day being caught on hard baits in the east end. Boils have become almost nonexistent.. It is however still possible to make bait on the shad in the lake and have some success..

Large Mouth: Medium Action: Things are a little slow throughout the lake with mostly a smaller class of fish being caught.. the numbers can be pretty high but the quality a bit lower. Plastic worms and small underspins work very well for the aggressive smaller grade fish.

Trout: No Action.. Scheduled trout plant this Wednesday the 20th..

Carp: Low Action: Use dough balls along the banks. Stop by the camp store or marina and share your fishing stories with us and get a picture taken so we can post it on FB.
