The Clearlake winter bite looks to be hot. If you can get on the water you should get out and have some fun. Caught about 15-20 fish today primarily throwing the A Rig. Fished the A Rig shallow and deep today, but it seemed like depth for the bigger fish was between 15-20ft of water. Each spot seemed to pay good dividends as long as we worked the area multiple times. It was not a super slow bite yet you had to make multiple cast to the same spot to get the fish fired up. Found some bait balls as well that also held fish but you didnt have to be around bait to catch. Best 5 fish weighed 27lbs with the biggest coming in at 7 lbs. Winter fishing can be good, you just have to get out on the water and brave the weather. Don’t forget to stop into Clearlake Bait and Tackle for all of your last minute tackle needs.

Hope this helps you if you’re fishing Clear Lake in the near future.
Happy fishing and tight lines!
