Fishing has been picking up with the warmer afternoons we’ve been having. We still haven’t received our next trout plant but are expecting one very soon, hopefully this week. There are still a good number of anglers reporting trout being caught all around the lake. Mainly on Power-baits and small spoons, but a few have been caught while fishing for bass. The striper have started to show in more numbers as of late, and most bites have been off sardines, anchovies, and lug worms. There have been a few caught on the troll and by jigging a spoon or ice jig. The largemouth and smallmouth have finally started to show for a good amount of anglers this past week. A lot of reports have claimed to be up shallow in around 20 feet of water. They have been mainly getting them off a drop-shot with a plastic worm or nightcrawler. Robo worms in oxblood and morning dawn have been producing best. The crappie are being caught in good numbers, both at the upper and lower lagoon. Bluegill are still biting slow and should pick up with the warmer temperatures. The catfish are also biting pretty decent. Most catches have been off cut bait or mackerel.

Some deeper diving reaction baits have been gaining some attention. A few anglers have reported being able to catch...... Read More

Anglers have been able to still manage decent trout since the last plant a week ago. Most catches have been off the West ramp because of where they put them in at this time around. Power-baits and trout lures like Kastmasters have been working the best. Bright and natural colors have been the ticket, along with garlic scents. The largemouth have slowly started to bite better this past week with temperatures getting into the 80’s out on the lake. Most...... Read More
