Hello everyone;

We arrived to our destination around midnight, and we started looking for flyers.  The flyer mission was a great success, and we also had some company.  As the flyers showed up to the lights, so did the sharks.  Even though the sharks were out in numbers, they didn’t take any of our fish.  But they were a big nuisances on the kite.

Even with the sharks, we manage to get a few fish on the kite, with the largest going 224.4 pounds.  Lucky angler was Rocky  Opliger, and next in line was Joe Amagrande with a  180 pound Yellowfin tuna.  Big fish bait honor was also Joe Amagrande.

We had a decent day on the Wahoo, with most the fish in the 30 to 40 pound range.

Weather wise, it was a mixed day, the morning started out with 12 to 15 knots of breeze, then turned into some rain, and little more breeze.  You put your rain gear on, then it would stop, as soon as you take off the rain gear, here comes the rain.  It was one of those days.  We made a tank of flyers, and now we wait for the morning.

We also have a few photos from our stop at Alijos Rocks.

So until then, wish us luck.  Team R/p.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
